Pakka is a company based in Zurich. The company has grown into a competent partner and service provider for organic and fair-trade specialty products from developing countries.

The main products are cashew nuts (cashew, almond, hazelnut and others). Producer families in projects working with Pakka have a higher and more stable income. Small farmers benefit most from this type of partnership as they face up to the struggle of meeting their daily expenses as well as covering the cost of healthcare and schooling. However, it is not only through its support of suppliers that Pakka aims to contribute to social and environmental sustainability. Further down the value chain, Pakka also selects its processing and distribution partners applying these criteria.

In August 2010 Fontana Foundation took a stake in the capital of the company. This investment is justified on the strong social impact of Pakka’s activities in various developing countries. Since 2015 we have been supporting the development of this start-up company in the Board of directors.
